CART - (County Animal Rescue Response) - Debra Garbrecht-Deputy Director
The goal of CART is to shelter and provide Veterinary care to animals displaced by a disaster. We will address the personal needs of each animal brought to the shelter. Currently we need 40 animals displaced before we can be activated or deployed for an event. We must be requested through the Camden County Office of Emergency Management. We do not self deploy to an event. This is against our guidelines. CART is strictly a volunteer based organization. In order to be a disaster volunteer, there are several classes that one must take which are considered mandatory by the State of New Jersey. These classes can be found on line at www.FEMA.Gov. They are the I-100 and the I-700, please contact Debra Garbrecht (Deputy Director) by either cell, 856-207-0959, or by email, scarlet193@comcast.net.
