I am thrilled to report that spring is here finally!!! On behalf of the Council and myself, I would like to thank Ken Whalen and his crew on Maintenance for the outstanding job they did keeping our streets cleared during the winter storms.
I’m proud to announce on April 5, 2010 the Council and I will introduce the operating budget with zero percent tax increase to you the residents(school taxes are not part of the municipal budget) for 2010. With all the horror stories we are hearing throughout the state with municipality and school board increases, I am proud to report the Council and I have worked to prepare for this day; knowing that it would come. Over the course of the last 5 years, we have reduced our spending by over $100,000.00; without reducing services we proudly provide to you. We realize the direction the State is taking and it’s aim on small towns. We continue to look for shared services and are proud of the relationship we continue to build with our friends in Haddon Township.
